Black Women’s
Hair.
There has always been the perception over the years that a black woman can’t grow hair . This is such a myth every woman grows an 1/2 an inch to a inch of hair every month. The trick is how to retain the length of your hair. Once you learn the art of retaining hair length your hair will flourish. You don’t want to start growing unhealthy hair however so always start your hair journey the right way.First things first here are 5 steps you should follow to grow long strong beautiful hair.

Cut Split Ends
In Order for you to grow long strong healthy hair first you have to start off with a good foundation. You can’t start off with split ends. That’s like asking for a car accident. So cut those stringy things off and start fresh.
You don’t want to grow your hair with those ends and end up losing hair . That would be like building your house on sand. If your ends not healthy cut your hair short and start from scratch.
You Need Moisture
Your hair needs lots of moisture for your hair follicles to flourish so when you first start out get a good a moisturizer for your hair. Moisturizing two to three times daily will keep your ends from breakage. Their are a lot of good moisturizers out their but you can also use organic diy moisturizers that will be just as effective if you want.
Use moisturizers sparingly, you don’t want your hair weighed down. Ensure you target your scalp where you should start.Your ends are the oldest part of your hair so apply moisturizer on your ends too.
Hair Grease Baby
There are a lot of speculation as to whether hair grease such as products that contain petroleum jelly and Vaseline are good for hair. You might not be aware but petroleum jelly and any types of oils act as sealants and helps to lock in moisture to hair. Black women have been using this back in the day to keep her hair moisturized. Their is nothing wrong with grease you just have to know how you use it. You can use this after you use your moisturizer to lock in the moisture. I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday use maybe once or even twice a week. Especially before using a sulfate shampoo.

Satin Bonnet And Silk
Your hair should be treated like a baby if you are serious about your hair journey; if you want it to grow you have to protect it at all cost. Get in the practice of wearing satin bonnets this will protect it from breakage and rubbing on fabrics that will cause friction and break hair off. Never go to bed or lay in bed without a silk bonnet or scarf.

An essential part of hair growth is hair repair and protection through the application of protein and deep conditioning treatments. This will strengthen your hairs core and help it to grow. Their are so many lines of protein treatments out their to choose from that will give the best results.
